Incorporated from Branford in 1831, North Branford has a population of 14,407. Its early history was as a mill and farming community. That influence is still present and the town is still known for its agriculture. At the time of the 2010 Census, the median household income is $64,438 and the median income for a family is $71,813.

- Gordon S. Miller Barn Museum. Museum of archeological discoveries and antique farm equipment from the 18th 19th and early 20th centuries.
- Little White Gas Station (1920’s). The first gas station in North Branford.
- Little Red Schoolhouse (1805). The oldest one-room schoolhouse still standing in New Haven County.
- Northford Ice Pavilion. Ice skating complex with three NHL-size ice sheets. Home to the Men’s Club Ice Hockey team — the Braves, Greater New Haven Warriors Youth Hockey program, the Connecticut Polar Bears girls’ hockey program, and serves as a secondary home for Yale Youth Hockey and Wallingford Youth Hockey.
